The Concept
It is a personal challenge to apply my illustration skills into one cohesive body of work, where everything is designed for a purpose, to tell single story. It is a continued exploration of the images within my imagination, 'The other world'.
Book Illustrations
The illustrations were used throughout the entirety of the book, with each image having a specific purpose, all combined to create one cohesive story. My illustrations were used on the book cover, end paper designs, single and double page spreads, with additional illustrated icons used at the start of individual story chapters. I crafted each illustration for its intended purpose within the book.
Submitted to the World Illustration Awards 2026
This challenge pushed my work further and I chose to submit my project to the WIA 2026 - results to come.
The story
Written words to the story are still a work in progress, the illustrations are influencing the flow and telling of the story, appealing to both children and adults imaginations.
